Maintaining Value Through Routine Maintenance
Earwax buildup is the most common cause of muffled sound or complete failure of a sound amplifier. Secretions penetrate the fine sound outlets and block membrane movement. A brief daily inspection prevents costly repairs and ensures reliable operation.
Daily and Weekly Care
Perform maintenance right after removing the device, while residue is still dry and easy to remove.
- Dry cleaning: Brush the sound outlet and microphone facing downward using a nylon bristle brush so loosened particles fall out.
- Washing silicone tips: Remove the silicone earpiece once a week and rinse it with mild soapy water. Reattach only after it is completely dry.
- Disinfecting tools: Wipe grade 304 stainless steel hygiene tools with isopropanol and store them dry.
